Cookie Policy

This policy lists the cookies and similar technologies Kovera uses on kovera.io and app.kovera.io, what each one does, and how to control them. It works together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information, and our Terms of Service.

1. The short version

We use a few cookies to keep you signed in, and PostHog to understand how Kovera is used.
There are no advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or social media trackers on Kovera.
Blocking analytics cookies doesn’t stop Kovera from working. Blocking the sign-in cookies does. You can turn analytics off at any time.

2. What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. Websites also use similar storage built into browsers, called local storage and session storage. In this policy, “cookies” covers all three. Session storage is cleared when you close the tab; cookies and local storage last until they expire or you clear them.

3. The cookies we use

Analytics: understanding how Kovera is used

PostHog also makes session recordings, set up so that what you type, addresses on the page, the map, photos of homes, and address searches stay out of them. See our Privacy Policy.

4. Other companies

When you use an address field or the map, your browser connects to Google Maps Platform, and on kovera.io sometimes to Komoot’s Photon address search. They receive what you type, your IP address, and your browser details, and their own privacy policies apply. Google may set its own cookies when the map or address search loads; see Google’s Privacy Policy.

Payments for Kovera Premium Agent happen on HubSpot’s own pages, which use HubSpot’s cookies under HubSpot’s policies.

5. Your choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block analytics cookies, Kovera still works. If you block the essential cookies, you won’t be able to sign in.

Turning analytics off. Turn off analytics on this device. That stops PostHog on kovera.io and app.kovera.io, removes its cookies, and sets the kovera_analytics cookie to remember your choice. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, analytics stays off without you doing anything. Browsers’ older “Do Not Track” setting has no agreed standard, and we don’t respond to it.

6. Changes to this policy

If we add or change a cookie, we’ll update this policy and the date at the top. For material changes, we’ll tell account holders by email or in the app before they take effect.
